Do you remember where YOU were?

I'll never forget where I was when I heard the news that morning.

I was supposed to take a road trip with a friend and my girlfriend at the time from Connecticut to Jersey to see a concert. We spent the whole night before packing and getting excited about it. I woke up and almost immediately got a call from my mom. She asked me if I knew what was happening and I told her "no". She asked me to turn on the tv and I'll never forget being speechless seeing the coverage of the towers, planes and people everywhere.

I had no idea how to do my show on the radio that night and don't even remember what I did.

I do remember after the shock that I started to imagine what it must have been like for those people on the planes, in the buildings and on the ground. Today was about honoring those that lost their lives that day, including the service men and woman that came to help. This morning a man called in to our show on G105 and told us that he dropped off a man at the Boston airport that ended up on one of those planes. Even though I didn't know this man or his passenger it was hard not to get emotional.

Whether you know a victim of 9/11 or not I doubt any of us will forget.

Do you remember where you were when you heard the news?
